While the best-selling book The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown is going to be remade in a theatrical release directed by Oscar winner Ron Howard, 2K Games has announced an exclusive agreement with Sony Pictures to publish games based on the upcoming film.
“We are thrilled to work with Sony Pictures on one of its most anticipated film properties,” said Christoph Hartmann, Managing Director at 2K Games. “The Da Vinci Code is exactly the type of high-caliber licensed property 2K Games looks for when developing movie-based games.”
The games are said to contain action-oriented suspense revolving around ancient cover-ups and calculated vengeance. The games will be distributed on current generation consoles, and are slated for a release to coincide with the films release date in May 2006.
