With the Xbox 360 being released about a year and a half ago, apparently the system is already starting to feel the squeeze of increasing game size and graphical intensity. Due to the lack of a Blu-ray and a guaranteed hard drive in the 360, cross platforming can be tricky for the big three systems.
Earlier this month in the Official PlayStation Magazine, the creative VP of Rockstar, Dan Houser, was asked, if the technical limitations on the 360 are a hurdle when working on the latest GTA installment. He replied, “To be honest with you, we haven’t solved all those riddles yet.” The difficulties aren’t all aimed at the 360 though, “both have enormous challenges” and “both have their own particular pleasures and pains”.
In other news, Rockstar is using the Xbox 360 to demo GTA: IV to the media. So what does all of this mean to the gaming public? Probably nothing as this sounds more like Sony is just taking shots at Microsoft as those two kids always do. Can’t they just play nice?
