After setbacks, speculation, fanboyisms, rumors and delays, Microsoft?s Xbox 360 has launched. Hordes of fans piled outside of every major electronic, department and game store hoping to get one, but many were left with nothing but a wasted night, as the total number of consoles shipped was cut back recently to a sparse 400,000, leaving many of those who preordered the console with empty hands on the way out. Along with the 360 came a slew of launch titles like Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo: Elements of Power and Condemned: Criminal Origins. Details about when Microsoft will release more 360 consoles are up in the air at the moment, but Amazon.com does have some units in stock, only selling them in a $999.99 bundle. Some EB Games stores, however, predict that they may not be able to fulfill all preorders until March ?06.
