Getting ready to pick up your Xbox 360 this November 22nd? Hold on for a second, as you may not be able to get a 360 even if you?ve preordered it. Electronics Boutique has told some of it?s customers that many stores have been informed that their 360 shipments will be cut in half. So even if you preordered your 360 early, it may not have been early enough to get you a system on launch day. This shortage even reaches to online preorders. Gamers who ordered the Ultimate Bundle before August 30th or the Core Bundle before August 28th appear to be safe, and should receive their systems by the end of the launch week. People who ordered their bundles after those dates may actually have to wait until January 2006. EB stores have said they will be getting shipments in every week.
It gets even worse for fighting game fans who hope to purchase a Xbox 360. Tecmo?s Dead or Alive 4 has been delayed until December 1st. It was originally scheduled to be released around November 15th. It should be noted that Tecmo has not officially confirmed the date change. For people who have Dead or Alive 4 in a preordered bundle, ebgames.com has announced that they will substitute the fighting game for Call of Duty 2. If you have preordered the Xbox 360 or Dead or Alive 4, you should check up on your order, whether it was made online or in a store, to find out exactly when you will be receiving the system and/or the games.
