Earlier this week, Microsoft confirmed that Halo 3 will have three different editions at launch later this year. As one of the most anticipated games of the year, Halo 3 will launch with Standard, Limited and Legendary Editions for the Xbox 360 this autumn.
The Standard Edition will include only the game while the Legendary Edition will include the game, Halo 3 storyboard art, two bonus discs, all contained in a collectable Spartan helmet case. The first of the bonus discs features behind the scenes footage, a Making of Halo 3 documentary, and early game concepts. Some sort of audio/video calibration tool custom designed by the Halo team will allow gamers to optimize their experience. The second disc, a Legendary Edition exclusive, contains remastered cinematic goodies from Halo 2 and Halo: Combat Evolved as well as developer commentary.
The Limited Edition will contain a Halo book that includes a guide to the Halo universe, the first bonus disc from the Legendary Edition, and other previously unreleased material in a metal case.
As there is no confirmed release date, I would suggest reserving your copy as early as possible. We’ll keep you updated as soon as news is released.
