Ghost Attack from Tarver Games put you in the cockpit of an inter-dimensional ship to blast ghosts and unravel mysteries. Torgan Science has employed you to explore an unseen side of reality which exists parallel to our world. Your technician, Karl, shows you the ropes and lets you know what your goals are. You mainly shoot ghosts and collect items of interest, gradually gaining more powerful weapons and facing stronger ghosts. The craft is controlled by tilting the iPhone and tapping the screen to control speed and use weapons. The 3D environment can be disorienting at times, but you get used to it. The game uses real-world mapping locations and finds you floating through actual streets and roads, albeit in a parallel world inhabited by energy sucking phantoms.
The game is repetitive and although the enemies get more challenging, the formula is the same. There is a smaller background story but generally iPhone games are not played to learn about an interesting in depth tale. In that respect, the game is not wildly successful, however it does demonstrate a good use of 3D space and control. At $4.99, it attempts to give you the most for your money, but are some better options in the app store.
