On September 19th Activision announced that it will be offering the public at large a sequel to it's 2005 poker game of the same name for the X-Box 360, PSP, PS2, and PC systems. Using the previous release as a template the 2006 version of [i]World Series of Poker:Tournament of Champions[/i]. It will feature 20 new poker champions to play against, in game tools for players to use in improving their game, and a new DigiMaskT Technology that will actually allow the player's face to be digitally recreated in the game. The story behind the game is that the player is a rookie poker player working under the guidance of Chris Ferguson, the winner of five Tournament of Champions tournaments. He will assist the player as her or she squares off against notables such as Jospeh Hachem, Phil “Unabomber” Laak and Jennifer Tilly in order to compete for the Tournament of Champions event in Las Vegas. To further round out the realism of this game Norman Chad and Lon McEachern, the commentators of the World Series of Poker on television, will lend their voices to provide in game commentary. The face mapping technology will featured on the X-Box 360 version of the game in addition to online capability for use with LIVE and the ability to read the tells of your opponents with Vision and EyeToy peripherals.
