Flagship Studios, a company made up of those who were so very kind to bring us Diablo, announced today that an alpha test of their online game Mythos was in the works in company with HanbitSoft, Inc.
The test, made up of employees from both Flagship Studios and Hambitsoft, Inc in addition to a number of other lucky souls, began today with a player base of 150 people. At the same time the official website located at www.mythos.com will come online with the dual purpose of providing media and information about the game while at the same time allowing those involved in the Alpha test to note any bugs in the game or to share their own thoughts about what would make the game better.
Phil Shenk, who enjoys the duality of being the Creative Director of Mythos and one of the founding members of Flagship Studios, made a statement regarding the launch of the alpha test today: of the alpha test today: “The beginning of the friends and family closed alpha is a milestone in the development of Mythos. “We can’t wait for the feedback from our close friends, and soon, from the larger community of dedicated Flagship fans. We are excited to be rolling out this key part of the Flagship Studios experience.”
The game will also be used to test the workings of the multiplayer segment of Hellgate: London. Mythos will be sent out for the citizens of America and Europe to play with this year, although we're not sure exactly when yet, by Ping0. MyGamer'll have more information on this and , of course, info on many other things as wet get. So stayed tuned, gamers.
