Let’s be honest. We all saw this coming. Nintendo, just days after the launch of the 3DS, has announced the new-and-improved version of their impressively underwhelming handheld.
The yet-to-be-named improvement (the “3DS Lite” in the title was just to convey the idea in a concise way) will feature a slimmer design, altered analog nub and improved camera (upgraded from 0.3 megapixels to 4 megapixels).
While coy with a price point, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata stated the new version of the 3DS would be out this holiday season. While fans will certainly be in an uproar, look for the thing-people-have-already-bought to sell millions more later this year. Stick with MyGamer for more details as they become available.
