Atari announced this morning that Lisa Rothblum has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Administration and Operations. In her new role, she will be responsible for Atari’s Human Resources, Facilities and Administration Departments, and will play a bigger role in the company’s restructuring. Replacing her will be Jeffery Kempler.
“This promotion recognizes the significant contributions Lisa has made and the value she has brought to Atari since joining the Company,” said Atari CEO Jim Caparro. “As we enter Atari’s next stage of growth, I will look to Lisa to bring the same level of insight and leadership to her new areas of responsibility, and will count on her counsel as a member of the Executive Committee.”
“As our industry continues to grow as a segment of the mass entertainment market, deal-making and partnerships with creative and development talent has become increasingly more important and those are areas in which Jeff has tremendous expertise,” said Caparro. “That prowess combined with his strong legal background and experience in the entertainment industry makes Jeff a natural fit for Atari.”
Kempler joins the company from Island Def Jam, where he served as Senior Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs from 2001 to 2004.
