Electronic Arts announced earlier today that BLACK has hit retail shelves for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox entertainment systems. The controversial game that has been labeled ?gun porn? features exotic automatic weapons and Hollywood-style gun battles. BLACK puts gamers in the shoes of Sgt. First Class Jack Kellar, leader of the BLACK squadron hunting a traitor in Eastern Europe.
EA?s new first person shooter challenges players to eliminate enemies while adapting to an environment that is constantly deteriorating with every bullet fired. The initial idea for BLACK was conceived on a trip to a Las Vegas gun range. Criterion Games creative director Alex Ward says “BLACK delivers a deep shooting experience that captures the paralyzing sensation of pulling the trigger of dangerous and exotic automatic weapons.”
