Merscom announced recently that Bode Miller Alpine Skiing is being developed by 49Games and will arrive in stores before the 2006 Winter Olympics. The game will feature top skiier Bode Miller and cover each of the four disciplines of alpine skiing: Downhill, Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super G. Players will be able to ski 32 slopes in 18 locations, and the title will include financial aspects and character development in addition to events.
“Bode Miller is arguably America’s top winter athlete, the Lance Armstrong of skiing, and we are thrilled about being able to offer a top quality interactive game based on his skills,” said Lloyd Melnick, director of Merscom.
Said Lowell Taub, Bode’s agent and president of GFHF Marketing & Management, “Bode is a gamer himself and is psyched about the release of “Bode Miller Alpine Skiing”. I am sure he’ll be playing it on his RV all season.”
The game, published for the PC by Merscom and the PS2 by Valcon Games, should be available this winter for $19.99.
