Sierra Entertainment, a part of the all powerful Vivendi Games, announced on Tuesday that it was sending forth Ceaser IV, the latest expansion in it's collection of historical strategy games, onto shelves this week for the PC. The premise is simple: you start off as a governor in a Roman province somewhere near the edge of the map. You build buildings(there's over 100 of them!) civic improvements, stimulate trade, and train soldiers so that no one can come in and swipe your hard built stuff. If you do well at this you will be giving another province to rule, this time a little closer to the center, and so on and so on until you find yourself walking happily down the Appian Way into Rome; don't forget to check your soldiers at the gate. Featuring over 100 hours of gameplay, along with an online mode where you can match your empire with those of others, Caeser IV promises to offer a great gaming experience for fans of historical sims.
