Chromehounds On The WarPath

Sega revealed details about another new action game in their lineup at E3; Chromehounds, the first and only squad-based mech combat game exclusively for the Xbox 360.

As the world's three superpowers vie for supremacy, armies of giant customized war machines called "Hounds" are pitted against each other. Players will engage in fast paced mech combat with up to 20 friends online in a persistent world that they will affect through their victories and defeat.

Hound customization is detailed enough to ensure that no two Hounds are alike with over a million parts to equip, including weapons, accessories and skins. But it's not everyone's job to simply make a walking kill factory; there are six distinct types of vehicles to choose from, each with their own specific purpose, including Scout, Sniper, Defender, Heavy Gunner and Tactics Commander. With these roles in mind, each team must strategically utilize its squad members in order to win.

Single player mode allows players to test out the Hounds they've made and tweak their skills. And with over 110 maps and campaigns to challenge, players can be sure they will have a long road to completing all that this game has to offer.

Chromehounds is scheduled for release on June 27, 2007.
