Fans of horror games can now partake in the demo of the FPS, [i]Clive Barker's Jericho[/i] on Xbox LIVE and PC. In [i]Clive Barker's Jericho[/i] players will set off to the Middle-Eastern city of Al-Khali. You will command the Jericho squad which is described as, "a team skilled in both conventional and paranormal warfare." Gamers fight through different time periods while on a horrific and grueling journey to discover the mystery of the "First Born, God's first aborted creation of man and source of ultimate evil."
On a related note, it has recently been reported that the country of Germany will be branding [i]Clive Barker's Jericho[/i] with the equivalent of an "adults only" rating which should result in the game being banned from all German retailers unless the game undergoes changes to its very mature content. According to the web site Next-Gen, the publisher of [i]Clive Barker's Jericho[/i], Codemasters said "that it was sticking to its guns, having decided not to modify the game’s content in order to secure a German release."
The web site also shows a statement from Codemasters which reads: "Following a review by the USK ratings board, which declined to give an official rating, Codemasters has decided not to change the artistic vision of the renowned author and filmmaker Clive Barker though cuts and extensive changes.
"Codemasters respects Mr Barker’s creative ideas, despite the German distribution and marketing consequences for the title. Therefore Codemasters will release the PC version of Clive Barker’s Jericho in its original form on the 26th of October for adult gamers and Clive Barker fans."
[i]Clive Barker's Jericho[/i] is slated for release at the end of October for Xbox 360,PS3, and PC in the U.S.
