Digital Bridges announced this morning that the mobile phone edition of Colin McRae Rally 2005 is now available to mobile phones. Being dubbed as the “most exhilerating racing rally racer,” the game will also be the first branded “connected” mobile racing game on the market where users can enter tournaments, posts scores, or race against friends’ “shadows”.
“Our UNITY platform is driving the next stage of development in mobile gaming,” said Paul Maglione, SVP of publishing and marketing for Digital Bridges. “Through “connected gaming”, the user connects back to the UNITY server from within a game to download further features, in this case enabling players to post high scores or download and then race against a friend’s best performance. Connected gaming is the multi-player gaming of today, and we are delighted to be showcasing it in the context of one of the greatest videogame franchises ever.”
Colin McRae Rally 2005 was developed by iomo Ltd, and should be available as of now.
