Many gamers are steaming about the overheating problem of the Xbox 360. Robert Byers, from Chicago, has gone so far as to bring legal action against Microsoft, claiming that his Xbox 360 overheats constantly and shuts down due to the system?s more than unusual demand of power. Byers feels that this issue is largely due to Microsoft cutting edges in order to meet their own launch date, and since systems are in such slim availability, it is next to impossible to get a replacement.
Microsoft does not comment on pending legal matters, but has stated that less than 3 percent of the Xbox 360 systems will have some form of technical difficulty. Byers?s class action lawsuit is seeking attorney expenses, damages, and replacements or a recall of all damaged 360s.
