Proving that you just can’t keep a good PC game down, Paradox Interactive, developers of the one-and-a-half year old PC strategy game [i]Crusader Kings[/i], have provided their avidly devoted fans another reason to keep playing their favorite game. Released today for [i]Crusader Kings[/i] is a patch to update the game to version 1.5. Included in the patch:
-Crusades system revamped
-Education revamped
– Lots of realm intrigue and challenges – civil wars, assassination, and break-away satellite states added
– The way your realm is controlled has been revamped: intrigue (not stewardship) now determines max demesne size and the ruler’s martial skill now affects your recruitment rates
– More court intrigue with unruly bastards, disgruntled heirs, and pushy courtiers added
– Foreign rulers are now likely to pledge allegiance to powerful neighbors, and successful realms will now be more likely to grant new titles to their trusted courtiers
– More challenges with the plague being less predictable, illness that can spread through realms and courts, and an overall increase in the mortality rate
