Capcom?s Devil May Cry 3 will now join Sony?s Greatest Hits line of budget games. The Greatest Hits version won?t just be the same old DMC, though. Capcom is adding a host of bells and whistles in an attempt to attract both new and veteran gamers of the Devil May Cry series. In recognition of the extra content the game will have a modified title in Devil May Cry 3: Dante?s Awakening Special Edition. Some of the added features in the S.E. will be a new boss character, a new continue system, a survival mode, a very hard mode, a movie mode, and a turbo option which speeds the game up by 20 percent. But the biggest addition to the game will probably be the ability to play as Vergil, Dante?s evil brother. The Vergil character will also have his own set of moves called Dark Slayer. It is not known as of now if the story will change at all for those who will play as Vergil.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante?s Awakening Special Edition is slated for a release date of January 24th, and will carry an ESRB rating of M for mature. The suggested retail price will be $19.95.
