A true classic is coming to Xbox Live Arcade. Konami is bringing several of its classic games to the Xbox Live Arcade, but perhaps most exciting will be [I]Contra[/I].
[I]Contra[/I] is an icon in gaming – and perhaps always will be – but the game that will be on Xbox Live Arcade may be different from the one everyone remembers. Konami is bring out a faithful emulation of the original [I]Contra[/I] arcade game, not the1988 NES version. For all intents and purposes, it's still the same rock solid side-scrolling shooter that has been a hit for nearly 20 years.
Nostalgic fans will get an extra kick out of [I]Contra[/I] with the addition of the famous "Konami Code". (that's: Up, UP, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start) The code gave players 30 lives instead of three when playing the NES version, but this will be the first time the code appears in the arcade version.
