Electronic Arts announced on the 13th of this month that they've decided to offer several custom games from the Nintendo Wii game console such as Madden NFL, Need for SpeedTM, Harry PotterTM, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR ®, SSXTM and The GodfatherTM According to Electronic Arts the games will be tooled to utilize the power of the Wii hardware and to be used with the unique control the Wii console sports.
The Senior Vice President and General Manager for Electronic Arts, John Schappert offered these comments: "Once we started to experiment with Madden on Wii, there was an explosion of innovation. Everyone in the studio is energized by the creative opportunity afforded by both the hardware and controller. By reaching into our catalogue, we are able to bring a fresh and distinctive experience to some of EA's most popular franchises. Creatively, the game play possibilities are staggering and endless."
Well, there you go, all you Wii fans. In the future you'll be able to cast spells before driving away in a choice of two kinds of getaway cars before you make that get drive on the 9th hole before doing a half pipe and catching that long bomb for the touchdown. Make sure you're sitting down.
