Electronic Arts announced this past week that it will be making two of it's most popular gaming titles available for launch with Nintendo's Wii console. These are, are you ready?, Madden NFL 07 and Need for Speed Carbon. Naturally there will be changes in the gameplay of each game that will reflect the unique nature of the Wii console. Madden NFL 07, for instance, will utilize the new Wii controller and the in game FreeMotion controls to create a new gaming experience that will be backed up by a series of in game tutorials that will instruct player in the use of the new control scheme. There will also be Wii-exclusive features for the console such as multiplyaer mini games that will be designed to support up to four players, additional multiplayer enhancements like the multiplayer sprint, a new play calling system designed to be utilized with those who have basic knowledge of the sport and the above mentioned FreeMotion tutorials. Now, for Need For Speed Carbon Electronic Arts has also planned to utilize the new Wii controller. The details are vague as to how this will work, but using the Wii remote and the Nunchuck in a control scheme that has been described as “simple and intuitive ”
will allow players to sense the differences between the 50 different cars available to be driven in Need For Speed Carbon. For more information you can see EA's official website here at http://info.ea.com and, as always, right here at MyGamer.com
