Electronic Arts announced earlier this morning an investment in Ubisoft Entertainment. Under the terms of the deal, EA would invest approximately 19.9 percent interest in the Rennes, France-based company, with the shares being bought as a block from Talpa Beeer B.V.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Ubisoft is more recently known for games such as the Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, the Tom Clancy Games, and Rayman, so it is understandable to see why EA has been paying attention to them. That’s all we’ve got for now, but be sure to check back with us if more information is revealed.
