Rumors are flying around the interweb about a sequel to [i]Fable[/i], which was one of the most anticipated Xbox titles ever. Lionhead was asked about the sequel, but answered each question with ?no comment?. Since Lionhead did not come out and deny the story one could take the ?no comment? remark as an unofficial confirmation of the game, if they wanted to. But again, this is all still just speculation.
The story/rumor started with computerandvideogames.com postulating that an unidentified source leaked information to them about the game. The site claims one useful bit of info is that now your protagonist will have man?s best friend as a companion throughout the game. That?s right, if rumor serves to be true you will have a pet dog in the sequel. And as in the first [i]Fable[/i], your choices will affect the way your new character will look and play in the game. But as one would suspect, your choices will now have an effect on your K9 as well. If you?re evil your pet will be the dog from hell, if you?re good you?ll have Lassie as your sidekick. Everything is based on what kind of person you choose to be.
Don?t expect to see this sequel any time soon though. If in fact [i]Fable 2[/i] is in development, it is still quite a ways off. Expect a lot more rumors and facts to surface over the coming months. To sift through the facts and BS, be sure to check back with Mygamer.com as details develop.
