FIFA Football 2005 Mobile International Edition is now available for download, according to a press release issued by Electronic Arts and Digital Bridges. The game, which marks the first title to be released under the two companies’ parnership deal, will look to top the success of last year’s game which has been a fixture on mobile top 10 charts for a while now.
“EA’s direct involvement in the mobile gaming space is a testament to the potential we see in this growing market”, said Andrew Corcoran, Director of Business Strategy at Electronic Arts Europe. “We’re focused on delivering a mobile gaming experience that is consistent with our games designed for PC or console play, and FIFA is the first of a series of new mobile editions to come.”
While wanting to recognize the mobile version in the same breath as the console editions, EA also wants the mobile version to stand on its own. So, for the first time, a newly created mobile version logo will debut. This will be a fixture on all future mobile games from EA and they hope it will help consumers better identify the downloads.
