After months of waffling and stalling, an American release date for the blockbuster RPG, Final Fantasy XIII, has been announced. The game will hit American shores March 9th, 2010, with the Japanese date holding steady at December 17, 2009.
The edge-of-your-seat waiting has been brutal for American fans of the long-running series. Multiple teaser sites have come and gone, yielding few results. While fans have been able to chew on multiple Final Fantasy releases, including the faux-fighting game Dissidia: Final Fantasy on the PSP, digital releases of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy Tactics over the Playstation Network and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years on WiiWare, details regarding the much-anticipated sequel have eluded American fans. Now though, all that is left to do is wait.
