Foundation 9 Entertainment, cited as being the largest independent game designer on the North American continent, announced today that is has acquired the “non-game” assests of Shiny Entertainment from Atari Incorporated. The CEO of Foundation Entertainment, John Goldman, offered the statement that “Shiny Entertainment fits well with the current studios of Foundation 9
Entertainment and aligns with our long-term goals for the future,” and that it also ““has tremendous talent and experience working with big Hollywood franchises and will be working with us on a major, as-yet-undisclosed day and date release. The Shiny team will only add to our capabilities and technology base.” As per the terms of this agreement the whole team currently employed at Shiny Entertainment will remain whole and will be grouped together with The Collective, one of Foundation 9's other design studios, in 2007. In case none of you have heard of Shiny Entertainment here are a some details about the company for you.
1. It was created in 1993.
2. It has worked on and released eight items, two of wish were based on the Matrix franchise.
