[i]Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel[/i] has officially shipped out to stores today, according to Square Enix. Based off the popular anime series in Japan and most recently stateside on Cartoon Network, [i]Fullmetal Alchemist[/i] will expand on the show by introducing a brand-new storyline featuring a “lost chapter” during the Elric brothers’ journey to Central.
Players will assume the control of Edward Elric, a genius alchemist or his brother Alphonse. Using over 50 transmutable objects, you’ll also be able to combine just about any weapon imaginable thanks to Ed’s alchemy skills. Fully animated cut-scenes will be in the game as well, so those looking for a seamless transition between the game and show are sure to find it.
[i]Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel[/i] will be rated T for teen and will retail for $39.99 on the PlayStation 2.
