The Game Developers Conference kicked off today, March 20, 2006, and will feature some critical keynote speeches from Sony Computer Entertainment President Phil Harrison, whose speech is entitled ?Beyond the Box? (obviously a low blow to Microsoft). Nintendo?s President Satoru Iwata, speech will give a speech entitled ?Disrupting Development? and focused in on the ever-rising cost of game development. Ronald Moore, creator of Battlestar Galactica will discuss his upcoming Battlestar projects. Lastly is Will Wright, creator of the Sims series, and a big proponent of user-created content, will give his keynote on next-gen development.
