SEGA announced that ChuChu Rocket!, the frenetic action-puzzler classic, will be appearing on the GetJar platform starting December 23. Android users will be able to download the app completely free at www.getjar.com.
“With the continuing popularity of ChuChu Rocket!, we knew it was a perfect fit for the world’s largest free app store,” said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “The game is such an ideal app for mobile devices, and we are very pleased by the opportunity to prove that to an ever-growing audience.”
“Having SEGA’s iconic library on our platform is an obvious choice, and ChuChu Rocket! definitely meets the gold standard for the GetJar Gold Program,” said Ilja Laurs, CEO and Founder of GetJar. “With such simple, accessible, and wonderfully clever gameplay, there’s no reason every mobile user should not have access to games like this one. So, now they do!”
ChuChu Rocket! for Android challenges players to save a scampering crowd of ChuChus by guiding them to waiting rockets, while bottomless pits and ravenous cats stand in their way. Players can match wits with over 500 unique single-player puzzles or try to keep up with a real-time battle against up to three computer opponents.
Ok, now everyone with Android needs to download ChuChu Rocket! so Sega can finally see that the demand for this game is high enough for them to put in on the XBLA. Sega, come on. Let's do this!
