Rockstar Games and Interscope have revealed the official details on the soundtrack to the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The soundtrack will have two editions: a double CD official soundtrack and an eight disc box set featuring music from the game. As a bonus, the official soundtrack will include a DVD containing a prolouge to the game that lead up to the events of CJ’s return to San Andreas. This prequel won’t be available anywhere else either, so look for some surprise faces to show up.
A bonus track of Nine Inch Nails? “Head Like a Hole” will also be performed by rock band AFI, who formed in 1991. The track was made specifically for the game to honor the era of music and for the game’s soundtrack.
The game itself will feature music from the early 1990’s and feature a large variety of tracks that span a variety of music such as west/east coast hip hop, funk, rare groove, new jack swing, contemporary, alternative rock, classic rock, reggae, and country.
Be on the watch for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas later next week, and both soundtracks on November 23.
