Recently, Nick McCavitt got the chance to talk with Jon Radoff, the CEO of Guildcafe Entertainment, who provides a social networking site for gamers. On GuildCafe MMO gamers can keep in contact with members of their guilds or guild members on other servers or other games. Also with their new PlayerVox online magazine visitors to the site can vote for their own articles they want to see on the site.
NM: Where did you come up with the idea for GuildCafe?
JR: I’ve been involved with online games for years, and the initial idea came about because I wanted to find a way to get in touch with a lot of the people and guilds I used to know from past games. I looked around and couldn’t find anyone who had done that yet, and realized it was something that just had to be done. I realized that this could form the basis for a user-directed gaming community, and it’s grown from there.
