As part of a keynote speech at Goldman Sachs Communacopia XV Conference, the CEO of Activision, Robert Kotick, has confirmed that Guitar Hero 2 would be released for "every significant format". He also made note of intentions of yearly updates, and indicated the building of franchises across a number of Activision titles.
This statement comes in the wake of Gamestation employees reportedly being informed that Guitar Hero 2 would be released on Xbox 360 in the first quarter of 2007. Red Octane, Activision's recently acquired subsidiary, declined to comment on the matter.
