Plantronics has announced development of the GameCom Halo 2 Edition specifically for Microsoft’s Xbox and Halo 2, the sequel to the system’s best-selling game from Bungie Studios. According to the company’s press release the headset will offer “superior voice features, and online gamers can now take advantage of Halo 2’s new multiplayer and gain an edge in taking out the opposition.”
“GameCom Halo 2 Edition’s performance combined with our kick ass sound design and new communications effects makes for an intense multiplayer gaming experience.” said Pete Parsons, Studio Manager of Bungie Studios. “Comfortable and sleek, you almost immediately forget the GameCom Halo 2 Edition headset is there, as you sneak around behind an opponent and whisper something nasty in his ear before you run him through with an energy sword.”
Plantronics has designed mission-critical headsets for NASA, the U.S. Military, the FAA and other professionals for decades. The headset will sell at a suggested retail price of $49.99.
