In domestic sales the Xbox 360 has often been tagged as the favorite, but the international sales of Microsoft's flagship console has been a considerably rougher trip. It has reached the point that The Financial Times, that powerful periodical, has published a report detailing that it looks like the Wii will take precedence over the Xbox 360 and even the PS3 in terms of international sales. As of July 31st 9 million Wii's been sold all over the globe since July 31st. The Xbox 360 has sold 8.9 million units which mean that even though the Wii has squeaked ahead, it is still ahead, even over the PS3 which has only sold 3.7 million units. Sometimes it pays to bet on the underdog.
