SCi Entertainment, along with Davis Panzer Productions, have announced that a game based on the Highlander franchise is in development. Highlander, the 1986 cult classic that starred Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery, spawned three sequels, as well as popular television and cartoon series.
“There are so many great opportunities with such a rich license as the Highlander franchise,” said Creative Director Patrick O’Luanaigh. “We will be working closely with Peter Davis and Bill Panzer to develop the Highlander universe further. The concept is ideal for a game.”
Highlander follows the adventures of the Immortals, powerful warriors living day-to-day lives as they seek out their adversaries, destroying each other throughout history until only one will remain.
“As we approach the Highlander 20th Anniversary Celebration, we are delighted that the Highlander game will be an integral part of that celebration,” Panzer said.
