Logitech today announced their plans for manufacturing officially licensed peripherals for the Xbox 360. Logitech has supplied the current generation systems with many accessories, specifically the Xbox with award winning game pads, steering wheel and a headset. This has made them the market and technology leader in the console gaming market. During Logitech’s fiscal year 2005, which ended March 31, worldwide sales of Logitech console gaming products grew by 172 percent.
“One of the best ways for gamers to take advantage of the graphics, games and processing speed of Xbox 360 is with first-class peripherals,” said Fred Swan, Logitech’s director of strategic marketing for interactive entertainment. “Like our current controllers, the products for Xbox 360 will be designed to give gamers the edge they want — and need — to be the best.”
Logitech plans to begin selling the first wave new peripherals when Xbox 360 becomes available in Fall 2005.
