Matrix Games announced this morning that it has nabbed the rights to publish Gates of Troy, a new turn-based empire building strategy game. Turn based in nature, the game lets players take control of might heroes and allows you assault the Gates of Troy and build the trojan horse. Serving as the sequel to Spartan, it will primarily take place in that universe and enchance the original game’s engine.
“Gates of Troy is an addictive simulation that combines map level strategy and civilization management with the ability to set up and watch your tactical battles unfold,” said David Heath, main operator at Matrix Games. “It has all the elements of a great explore, expand and conquer game along with a well-researched period feel. Gates of Troy is perfect for war and strategy gamers who are looking for an under-represented genre that provides plenty of excellent tactical and strategic challenges.”
Look for this one to ship in the coming weeks.
