Next week, Midway Games will make an announcement that a Gamecube version of Mortal Kombat: Deception is in development. The game is scheduled to be out in the first half of next year, according to the company.
Mortal Kombat: Deception is the sixth game in Midway’s fighting franchise, and the new installment looks to take the series to new ground thanks to a new engine that will allow more realistic graphics, better gameplay, and online modes. The GC version will be a perfect port of the PS2 and Xbox versions that are going to ship in October. In place of online play, Nintendo’s version will have two yet unannounced new features.
More on this as it develops.
