Namco announced today that Grantley Day has been hired as the company’s Director of PC Development. With more than 11 years of experience, Day brings knowledge of developing entertainment software for the PC, and most recently was involved in work on the [i]Sims[/i] franchise for Electronic Arts.
“As Namco expands its games business onto the PC platform, it is critical for us to find the best talent in the industry,” said Nobuhiro Kasahara, president and chief executive officer of Namco Hometek Inc. “Grantley Day brings tremendous experience in developing cutting-edge online and multiplayer gaming technology, which is vital to Namco’s future success in the PC games market.”
Day’s main duty will be to help bring the company’s partnership with Flagship Studios to fruition.
Before joining Namco, Day founded Techland Inc, a developer of MMORPG trading card games. He created the overall business plans and was responsible for establishing relationships with key partners and publishers.
