Electronic Arts announced today that the Grammy-nominated group The Beastie Boys will headline the soundtrack to [i]NBA Street V3[/i] with “An Open Letter to NYC”. In addition to being the lead artists, Mike D, MCA, and Adrock will also sport their hometown New York Knicks threads as unlockable characters . Featuring 13 new tracks all selected by their EA Trax program, the soundtrack for the game looks to showcase new music from all the areas of hip-hop and rap.
“Once again, EA TRAX delivers the ultimate in game music. Beastie Boys are among the most influential artists of all time, and their participation in NBA STREET V3 represents an unprecedented new coming-together of hip-hop, basketball and videogame culture,” said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music at EA.
[i]NBA Street V3[/i] ships on February 8.
