There have been rumors about Neversoft, the developers of the Tony
Hawk Pro Skater series, making a new game that isn’t skateboarding
related. The last game that Neversoft did that didn’t involve extreme
sports was Spider-Man (not the movie) in 2000. More rumors have been
flying since last June, when Neversoft placed a job for an “Xbox 2
Console Engineer Programmer.” Neversoft’s team had split and needed
more staff to help reorganize. One half of the Neversoft team that
split would work on the newest Tony Hawk game. The other half would
work on “other ideas.”
This week at E3, posters for a new game called “Gun” were found with
the Neversoft and Activision logos on them. The date for the release,
according to the poster, was Fall 2005. Xbox 360 does not come out
until this holiday season, so I have no information for what consoles
this will be released for.
I did do some research on Neversoft’s official website and found a
link to the game [a]http://www.gunthegame.com/[aa]gunthegame.com[/a] that includes a trailer.
Apparently this will be a Western Shooter.
Mygamer will update this story as soon as more information comes.
