ESPN Videogames announced two new features for their upcoming baseball title ESPN Major League Baseball 2K5 today. Being touted as an entirely new game from the ground up, ESPN will be highlighted by the addition of K Zone Pitching and Maximum Fielding to deliver a more realistic approach to baseball games.
Inspired by the same technology used on ESPN broadcasts, K Zone Pitching will allow players to target their pitches using a crosshair interface. Speed and movement will be all controlled by the player, but will come with the risk of affecting precision and control. Maximum Fielding aims to add a new dimension of control to handling your players by using the right analog stick to make some SportsCenter highlights on your own.
ESPN MLB 2K5 is on its way to the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in early spring.
