Nintendo is rewarding their most loyal and hardcore members with a free advanced copy of their upcoming game Nintendogs. Receiving critical acclaim in the already released Japanese versions, Nintendo is looking to increase hype here in the States by giving out free advanced copies of the game. These selected members will be given orders on Aug. 1st on how to receive their copy of the game. This is weeks before the release date of Aug. 22nd. Members of the online Nintendo.com community have been sent emails in regards if they are one of the worthy members. Nintendo hopes that by giving out a set number of copies, these players will create a word-of-mouth buzz and convince friends into buying their own copy of the game.
Nintendogs is a game where the player virtually trains and raises different breeds of dogs. Many of the DS?s hardware capabilities will be put to good use like speaking orders into the microphone to train your dog to sit while the touch screen will be used to pet and interact with your pooch. Wireless link mode will also be available.
Nintendo did not release the full details on who will qualify for this free game, but it can be assumed that only the most active members on the message boards who have registered 20 plus games could qualify.
