Almost 9 years after the original Postal – a game that put players in the role of an angry post office employee – developer Running with Scissors announces the next in the darkly comedic FPS series, Postal 3. The game is in development of the PC and Xbox 360, and will use the Source engine – the same engine created by Valve to drive the beautiful Half-Life 2.
The game is a potential lighting rod for the "too much violence in video games" crowd, mainly because players of the series have always been given latitude in their moral behavior – like the ability to kill innocent bystanders.
But Running with Scissors CEO Vince Desi says, "We've always maintained since publishing the original POSTAL that the game is only as violent as the player wants it to be and we're committed to expanding this unique form of gameplay in this next addition to the ongoing storyline."
Postal 3 wont be ready for release until sometime in 2008. MyGamer.com will keep an eye on its development, and keep you informed.
