Midway has announced that it will be developing a new Rush game for the PSP. The game will take place in California, the franchise?s apparent home, and will include a story mode. There will be over 30 licensed cars and more than 50 overall, and like in the last Rush, gamers can pimp out their cars at the famous West Coast Customs. There will be about 30 cruise missions, and racers will be able to play with anyone via Wi-Fi. The PSP Rush will also feature battle races and a stunt mode. Battle will be an all out race to the finish line with power-ups littered throughout the race. Stunt arena will be similar to the stunt sections in San Francisco Rush 2049 for the Dreamcast and PlayStation, with obvious updates.
The PSP version of Rush is slated for a September release. The MSRB rating and retail price are not yet known.
