Capcom announced today the release of their highly anticipated survival horror title [i]Resident Evil 4[/i]. Based on the series that has sold more than 24 million copies worldwide, the game focuses on the return of Leon S. Kennedy, Racoon City Police Department’s rookie cop from [i]Resident Evil 2[/i]. With a new assignment straight from the U.S. government, Leon now works as an agent looking for the President’s daughter and ends up in a mysterious town in Europe filled with much more than he imagined for.
“Capcom’s Resident Evil series is synonymous with survival horror. The games have a long standing reputation for introducing innovation and raising the bar to create intensely terrifying experiences for players,” said Todd Thorson, director of marketing, Capcom USA. “With a slew of new and redesigned concepts, Resident Evil 4 presents a fear more real than ever before. The game is set to revolutionize both the world of Resident Evil and survival horror.”
[i]Resident Evil 4[/i] is rated M for mature and retails for $49.99 for the GameCube. A PlayStation 2 version is also expected later this year.
