EA announced today that [i]Sims 2[/i] fans will have a holly jolly Christmas. A special limited edition of the best-selling PC game will hit shelves this holiday season. [i]The Sims 2: Holiday Edition[/i] will feature the full [i]Sims 2[/i] game, plus 40 holiday themed items to help the Sims celebrate. EA said the Sims would be able to decorate their houses, have a holiday dinner, get a visit from jolly old Saint Nick, and even host a New Year?s party.
EA hopes that the broad appeal of The Sims franchise will make [i]The Sims 2: Holiday Edition[/i] a fitting gift for anyone.
“Players enjoy participating in all the ups and downs of their Sims’ lives, from the big things like falling in love or building and decorating their house to the memorable things like putting up their family’s first Christmas tree and hosting a holiday dinner,? said Senior Producer Tim LeTourneau.
For Sims players that already own the full version of The Sims 2 EA will also be selling an expansion pack dubbed [i]The Sims 2: Holiday Party Pack[/i]. The expansion will include all the bonus material from the special limited edition, but not the full game.
[i]The Sims 2: Holiday Edition[/i] is scheduled to hit shelves on November 14th. The [i]Holiday Party Pack[/i] expansion will also be released on November 14th, but it looks like it will only be available through the online EA store.
