Electronics Arts announced today that on March 21st it will release [i]The Godfather The Game[/i] in North America. Based on the award winning movie and novel, this free roaming game will be available on PlayStaion2, Xbox and PC thanks to a strategic licensing relationship between Viacom and Paramount Pictures.
Set in 1940?s New York, players will create their own unique mobster and work their way up through the Corleone family ranks. EA suggests that force alone will not ensure your success as intimidation and negotiation will also be factors. Classic moments from the fiction will also be playable along side famous characters such as Luca Brasi, Sonny, Tom Hagan and the Don himself, Vito Corleone..
“[i]The Godfather[/i] is one of the most exciting, dramatic and memorable works of fiction in the world; for the videogame, we felt it was important to build a complex and responsive open-world that puts you in the heart of the action,” said David DeMartini, Executive Producer of [i]The Godfather The Game[/i]. “The deeper you are into the experience the better the game gets,” DeMartini added.
