With the silly delay for Brawl in America, it was inevitable that the moderately hush-hush cast of the game would be blown wide open minutes after the game hit Japan. And this has happened. The full cast of Brawl is revealed at long last!
Screenshots showing the Character Select screen have surfaced, showing the full cast which includes (not counting those already revealed by SmashBros.com) the return of Marth, Game and Watch, Falco, Luigi, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff and Ness. Ganondorf also returns, but is sporting a design similar to his appearance in Twilight Princess and Wind Waker.
New characters include "Toon" Link (that is, Wind Waker Link), Lucario (a new Pokemon from Diamond and Pearl) and ROB the Robot (the old Nintendo icon). The total cast amounts to 34 characters (not counting Sheik and Zero Suit Samus), with Dr. Mario, Roy, Pichu, Mewtwo and Young Link missing the 2 o'clock from the Cube to the Wii. More details will surface in the coming week (or even the coming hours) so make sure to check back for further updates.
Update: There is one, final addition to the cast, which officially seals up the 35-member cast. Star Wolf, the occasionally-appearing leader of the Star Fox team's rival joins the Brawl (with Fox's moveset)!
